Just got through two updates for WordPress and Vbulletin.

Wordpress released version 2.8 here. Updating WordPress use to be quite a pain, but now that they allow you to upgrade via the control panel, updates have become so much easier.

Vbulletin released their version 3.8.3 here which included a few minor bug fixes, apparently they are hard at work on the release of version 4.0

Where forums and blogs are concerned, both Vbulletin and WordPress are my favourite software to use.
