John has continued to build his site to greater levels of success and profitability, despite the digg ban. He has a track record of running a reputable tech website long before digg was even started. I dont see a problem with the ban, but I just think they could have pointed out where he was going wrong and what kind of stories they did not like, how he could perhaps stop those articles from being dugg. And be allowed to have his site reinstated.

"After all, it is quality sites like johnchow.com that give valuable exposure to digg, the traffic is not all just one way."

Right On! You have made an astute observation and I totally agree. Digg was benefitting from John driving traffic to them and they have now cut off their nose to spite their face. This is the best point of view on the affair I've seen yet.
